Spaceburps


Did you know …

That if you burp in space, your eyeballs will pop out? It’s TRUE! This is why so many early astronauts and cosmonauts don’t have any eyes left (that or their eyeballs are made of cold, sightless glass).

On the International Space Station, when an astronaut appears as though they’re about to burp it’s the duty of his or her fellow astronauts to strangle the would-be burper into unconsciousness before their eyeballs can come out. This leads to a lot of consequence-free revenge strangling, but astronauts still prefer having a slightly strangly work enironment to having their eyeballs shoot out of their sockets to splat on the control consoles.
