smallest LARGEST


Did you know …

That the smallest virus ever discovered, the Porcine circovirus, is only 17 nanometers across? It’s true! This is very small—considerably smaller than even the smallest of our coins, the tiny dime.

The largest virus, on the other hand, is the Pandoravirus. The pandoravirus is approximately the size of a felt-tipped pen! Don’t worry, though, because it only infects whales and elephants!
